day two week eighteen two thousand and fourteen

18 November 2014
Noises in the dark, ticking of docks, two forty six, check the time. Rest some hours more, constant waking... This leaves the body so exhausted at five that it is a major effort to get up Pills and shower, listen to the rain, the shower dripping. A- towel, go out and find one.
Found socks, neatly paired, both black, both different , sizes, Find more socks, They fit. Search for shoes and find the wrong ones.
Listen to the rain outside, again.
Down stairs and out. Hear a steady load drip upon the lid of the plastic rubbish bin outside. It is really loud. Move bin, silence the drip. Do the neighbours a small favour...
Umbrella shadow on the glistening road, road glistening wet in the sparkly street lamps. Delivery trucks at the chocolate café back entrance, many cardboard boxes..
Through the increasing rain down the theater street, to the bus stop. Dolores with a knit cap, and a friendly look, good morning dolorful Dolores..
Bus and pay, station-before you know it. Across The soaking plaza, past the flooded ashtray. The girls at yormas, working fast and neatly.
! Moustachio¡ and the the long black hair girl with the handbag chatting away, bantering with the cafe girls. Anastasia comes round the corner, her hair undone, no knowing that it was that long. Maybe an interview today, who knows. She is quite the boss now, she is running the show and letting the others work.
Damp and steamy the atmosphere all the way to the platform, water puddles collecting under leaks in the roof of the tunnel under the tracks, leaky awning over the platform.
The train arrives as announced, rolls in fast. The aggressive commuters start jostling for good boarding positions before it has halted, standing close to the edge of the platform, disregarding the copious rain here. They will fight and suffer for the right to sit down freely and where they please, with whom they please. What a load of rubbish!
Onboard, find seat. Watch. people divest themselves of coats and umbrellax, place them in the luggage racks. So many are dressed for winter now, even though it is not really cold.

Yet.
