A steady throbbing noise, the sound of a contented cat. Sit up in the bed and look around, There she is sitting on the corner of the double bed, tail wrapped around her body.
purr purr .. purr purr..
perhaps there is an accepted way to notate a cats purring.

Great, now get up. The remains of yesterdays pizza, the dirty plate and the empty beer bottle, are still on the window ledge, along with the laptop computer. The sons party yesterday caused the parents to retreat to their bedroom, and eat some of the pizza that the boys had wanted.

And now the remains need to be cleared up.

clean the cooker, throw the plastic bits into the yellow waste bag, the biological sticky bits into the container for biological waste, and so on.


Sunday morning, the boys are awakening, the computers starting.
Tell the son to organise breakfast.

Breakfast to the sounds of pop music from the eighties.
And they are all happily at their computers again.

Drink the fresh coffee.
