cat and company

The sons party went on into the last night, the voices dimming into the background of sleep as the door to the bedroom was closed. Singing and the sound of computer games. No loud music, strange. Nobody would have prevented it, maybe that was the reason that there was no interest.
In the morning, the six young men are scattered all over the sitting room in their sleeping bags. Not all of them, one is up again at the old glass monitor of one of the computers.
Reading the news.

So make a cup of coffee
hurtle into the weekend non event.

No activity, not anywhere.
Everyone is still sleeping.
Apart from the one young man at the computer.
And the cat.
Outside the door.
Complaining.
Let her in.
Fill the plate with food.

She eats it all.
Quickly.
