A most pleasant day spent at the artist's place out in the country, coffee and cake and discussions all day. And as the light dimmed, a few pictures of the large rooms with the huge sculptures, you could hardly believe that they are all made of ceramics. There is plenty to talk about, but it is too hot and too bright to use the contrasty light for photos of these sculptures.
As the sky clouds over towards evening, it becomes possible to take pictures in the softer light. They are only black and white pictures, there is no point in wasting time trying to take colour pictures. The gaudy green of the grass and the foliage distracts from the subtle colouring of the sculptures.
That is one way to spend a day in the sunshine, with coffee and cake and chat.
