sounds of silence

Yesterday was exhausting, the camera was being difficult. Life is not easier in every way with all of this electronic assistance that is being provided by even the simplest gadget these days. A camera, which used to be a simple gadget where shutter timing, aperture size and focus where the three controls dealing with the way in which motion is depicted, the depth of field, and the sharpness of the image are controlled, has now mutated into a device with a complexity of pre programmed functions, all with their own names.

It has become more complicated.

And if you are not working in series, then it is slower too.

Last night was a night of deep sleep, and today was an awakening with cramps in the calves of both legs. It was a considerable effort yesterday to clean the dirt from the wooden paths before taking the pictures.

This morning a short email was written to the camera company hoping for a solution to a problem with the camera back.

The brother left the house early, today is press day at the garden show. Tomorrow is judgement day, and it will then be seen whether or not he has been awarded the gold medal that he had hoped for.

Now the big flat in the grand house is silent but for a dripping tap and a buzzing fly.

And the sound of fingers tapping on a computer keyboard.
