Slow today, slow Saturday. A wake at dawn,, bathroom, and find some fresh clothing in the wardrobe. A F shit, some socks. It is a grey day, the sun has not risen yet. The young son has risen, and has fed the cat. Now both are up on his high bed, looking down. The cat, well groomed as always, himself a mass of tousled red hair
'Make a cup of brown brew, fresh ground coffee, super market brand. Fill the coffee maker, Italian aluminium, nine cups. Put the loaded contrivance on the gas, and watch as the drops of water that make it past the ancient and decrepit seal between the upper receptacle and the lower pressure container- Individual drops run down the machine, only to vaporise before they reach it's bottom. Only a very few make it past the heat rising from the gas ring to the stainless steel surface underneath.
They evaporate there too, only more slowly. and some time later, the.coffeemaker makes a rumbling noise.. Coffee is made.
A cup for the wife, sweetener and milk, too early yet. leaving that at the bedside, on the little box that is there.
Install the spring on the Kienelt arm brace, so that the little finger may be exercised, exercised without putting pressure on the surgeons work.
Till the tendons have healed.
And now the son is up, and is concerned over his Latin.
The endless vocabulary of a language no longer used in every day conversation..
But good for the mind, good for the memory, and the understanding of systems of conversation.
