the night disturbed by nothing, but cannot sleep
then awaken from a deep sleep then when the alarm goes, never mind the contradiction. The shower is warm. As usual, there is a mess of ironing board and old suitcases and boxes in the hall. More tidiness would be a joy, but who will do it?
The cat approaches, stops, looks up. Bend down to scratch it's head. It starts to purr,
and moves on.
check that all the items for the day are ready. Try to keep track of the things that need to be demand go out into the alley. the alley wet from the night's rain. The lights are on, these lantern-style street lights. Before the end of the alley is reached, the lights go off, with an audible dick from the grey box mounted at the roadside on the corner,
The man with the brown jacket and brown trousers is walking down the main street, as he has done every day for the last week. He is carrying a brown shoulder bag as well. He is heading for the end of the main street.
Then at the bus stop, river. It is still in flood
Say good morning and go to look at the flooded river, more flooded and wilder than yesterday. It is milky tea brown in colour, the water is moving very fast and it is rough. The aspect of the whole situation is threatening. At the weir opposite there is a tangle of the trunks caught against a pillar by the current.
At the bus stop a highly coloured bicycle blocks the way, it is decorated with artificial flowers. Walk around this strange obstacle, and wish the smoker good morning.
Climb the stairs to the entrance at the railway station and go to the cafe. A dark haired girl with big black frames on her glasses says "cafay?". Agree. Hand over the money and the card. The card is stamped, and when there are ten stamps on it, it will he worth one cup of coffee. Wait for ten minutes in the waiting room,write these notes, and then go on towards the platform. The small Rosenheim train is in already, a few people are moving over to platform six.
A cargo train rolls into the station, it stops at platform five, waits for a few seconds, and then rattles on. There are many colourful container on board, ready to proceed on their journey.
The Munich train comes into the station the passengers get out, now get on board. A man with three suitcases has blocked the seating at the first table.
so move onto the next free table to continue with this scrawl.
