before leaving the house, feel the cat rub it's back against both legs, and hear it start to purr. Bend down to pat the head of the cat with the back of the hand.
Later, upon leaving the house, look back to see the cat there, on the last step of the stairs. She is watching the door being opened; and her human leaving the house for the exciting street. She would like to go too, but she may not.
At the bus stop say good morning to Dolores and the bog cotton man. Over the river, the lights of the hotel are shining over the water. And at the small weather station, a man is feeding the ducks with something from a large plastic bags, scattering some food, probably bread, on the ground. The ducks are feeding enthusiastically.
Wish the bus driver a good morning, give him the exact money for an exact fare, and sit down facing the rear of the bus.
Later, after the short ride on the bus, say good morning to the smoker at the railway station, and go to the cafe in the railway station. A young woman and the bald man with the beard are serving today, there is hardly anyone in the cafe today. Sit down, write these notes. Leave the cafe just as the small train from Rosenheim is arriving, and climb the stairway to platform six just as the train for Munich is arriving.
It is now light as the train leaves Landshut, the calendar is moving on.. They will change the clocks sometime soon, then it will be dark again for a while. It is three months until the summer solstice, the longest day. Remember that there was birdsong at the bus stop, the first birds up early, and watch swans as the train passes them by on the meandering river at Moosburg, and then the long line of private cars on the parallel road, all heading in for Freising.
