In the night, in the dark but for the glow

from those decorative little led lamps in the

yard, tie there awake, as if there was no such

thing as sleep. Listen to the bells in the

church towers,

bells for half past

Three for quarter to

Listen, then go to the loo

and then it is morning, half past five.

There is daylight in the window.

get up, go to the bathroom, banho.

Then return, on with the coffemachine.

Cafe da manha, later, when the device

heats up.

The alarm clock sounds, turn it off.

get dressed.

and this is the last Monday before the

summer holidays.
