Leave the son with the shopping, go up the narrow street to the photographic store, and ask them to compare the small part that had been bought online with an original part. They do, and then out of kindness check an original part from the shelf on the camera. The original part is loose, just as loose as the bought part, so that it is not difficult to deduce that the fault is with the camera.
Go home, to find that the son is just about to go out again and to go to the drogerie.
