The sun came up to the room and asked to be driven to Bayreuth after all. Start this undertaking by taking the shovel out to the parking place and digging the car out from under the blanket of snow covering it. Then take the icy cold vehicle back to the street and pick up the son's things.
The drive to Bayreuth is long and uneventful, it is no more than a boring stretch of motorway driving. It takes nearly three hours to get there. Rest on his bed in his room for an hour, and then, after he has completed his university business, go back home to Landshut.
In Landshut they appear to have been unable to clear the snow, and the town is in the grip of a huge traffic jam. It takes half an Hour more to get home.
