five and no motto

The return from the artist's studio was at three this morning, it was interesting enough in the studio. There was a private party in the pub opposite, having private parties in pubs is probably a way to end a successful business catering for the regular visitors.

Chatted with a musician, a saxophone player; and his girlfriend, Showed and explained the use of rise and fall and tilt and swing on a technical camera. It is unsure whether they understood or not, but they made impressed noises. It was nice to get a lift back home.

There was the usual early morning awakening, it was ignored.

At ten there was a knock on the door and the son came in. He seemed well and cheerful, he wanted to wish a good morning. Spoke to him about a number of things, and then let him hurry off again. Dress for the day and go downstairs.

Make coffee and breakfast, read the news. It is almost eleven o'clock now, make a supplement to the breakfast and answer a few email messages.

Sweep the floor in the shop and tidy up the little corner kitchen. Go out and join the weekly gathering around the photo gallery, Listen to their stories and their indignation, and then when that is past guide a pleasant couple through the exhibition  as it stands now.

Then go home and have another plate full of muesli with cold milk. Muesli was a Swiss invention, a breakfast cereal.

And now it is five in the afternoon.
