Dim. Dismantle the night's companions, silence their morning noise. Seven hours sleep is plenty for a working day. Wait untill thebath room is free, lay out the day's clothing.  As soon as the bathroom is free, brush the teeth with the small round-headed electric toothbrush whilst waiting for the shower to run hot:

Shower and wash the hair. Upon leaving the shower, the three coloured cat called Miriam  comes in to the bathroom to make an inspection.

• Whilst getting dressed the gato purrs, and rubs it's back, and stretches suggestively. She expects her food, this is turning into one of those regular morning features. In the kitchen, place a few dollops of tinned cat food on a plate,. She loves it.

go back, search for the misplaced glasses, find them.

It is now half past five in the morning.

Down the creaky stairs, leave the house. Bells sound in the distance, Martin´s bells are silent. Close the door quietly, and walk up the drizzle-greasy  alley, there are  tyre marks on the cobbles from a passing car. It is drizzling, not raining. Like a falling fog of water, dampening everything.

The market stalls for Friday's market are being set up in the middle of town, at the corner just by Grimm's shop a woman is carefully preparing for breakfast on a small round table. She has coffee in a thermos flash and a neatly stacked tower of  what must a eight breakfast rolls on a big plate.

There are more people in the street today, people walking to work. A woman speeds by on an electrically assisted bicycle, very fast, a high whining noise coming from the motor that sends more power to the pedals than the rider is capable of producing....

Dolores is at the bus stop, a sad smile, and a greeting. That is the total sum of this conversation.

The bus is on time, and inside ten minutes arrives at the railway station. There is nobody at the smoker's square in front of the building.  Upon passing the new sliding doors to the station´s hall  see that the TeamLider is alone working in the cafe. There are three other customers,. among them an effusive young man, wishing good mornings where none are called for, and profusely thanking the TeamLider for her service, and saying extended good byes. Fool!

 Put the lid on the purchased coffee, and proceed to the cafe. Hedgehog is there-

"Goo Meng"- matinal felicitations in a local dialect- and find the usual place to  stand and to write this  story..

The platform is cold and wet.

There is a smoking square marked out in yellow there, and there is a crowd of young women smoking. Their wet clothes will stink of smoke afterwards, when they board the train. Smelly people.

There is another announcement on the platform public address loudspeakers. 

The train is cancelled today.
