old radio

listen to the bells again at night, three bells, chiming tinkles from further away. The churches of Landshut and their timepieces. Sleep broken, it does not work, it cannot heal the tiredness as it should.
wash, brush the teeth.
It is a car day today, there is an old radio to transport. A machine with charm and no function, a specialist at the university will take a look at it.
The car is parked down the street, opposite the police station, in one of the spaces reserved for residents of the street. Drive it slowly to the entrance of the house, load up the old radio, and start the long journey to work.
Pass the police station, the smaller church and leave the town by the tunnel.
Country roads, then the motorway.
People drive fast on motorways, speeding, sports cars, driving fast for fun.
Today there will be none of that.
Arrive at work so much earlier today.

But without seeing any people, only other car drivers.
there is no time to converse, to exchange glances, to think.

Today is a hot summer day, the first of August.

And the office waits, there is so little to do today.
