Climb up a steep grassy sslope with a hedge on top. The hedge has a gap, crawl through. There is a road with a lay-by at the bottom of the slope. Hear voices, and a ebaby crying. it is dark. Lie there behind the hedge, in pain due to the backache, listen to the voices.
Then look farther up the hill, there is a line of trees and bushes. Get up and walk towards them, There is a gap.. In the gap, a bare-branched deciduous tree decorated with coloured lights.
Move towards this, hear a sound of volces, increasing in volume as the distance diminishes. A Voice calls out "ther he is", look over, ther are friends left earlier at a table.
Then try to reach them, there are benches, occupied, in the way. People are not unhelpful, but there is no way to pass.
Collapse immobile, crippled, the scene goes dark.
Waken to the grey light of a Saturday morning, in bed at home, back pains.
Remember all the coloured lights on the tree
In the dream.
