Tired of waking in the early morning to the bleak darkness of winter, the worst months of the year. Sleep, the company of Morpheus, is the greatest pleasure,the warmth of the bedclothes forming a shield against the noisy physical discomfort of the day.
The son is up, he had set his alarm clock early- on a Saturday!
Together we go to the cafe, the early place around the corner, a traditional baker's shop, open at seven in the morning.
We sit there and chat.
He says that they have to learn off Caesar by heart.
