about one kilometre before the Autobahn, there is a right turn to a filling station. It is an Aral filling station. The car needs air in it's tyres, the wheels are

soft. Stop, get out, and

go to the counter. Wait untill the customer in front has been served, then ask.

"Air comes from black tubes attached to the pillars at pump seven and pump thirteen.

Return to the car, and drive it over to pump number seven.

Attach the Tube to the valve of the front wheel, and return to the dial in the pillar. Press the button. With a loud hiss the

Tube disconnects from the valve. Replace the Tube, more firmly this time. Press the button.

The air pressure in the tyre climbs, up to exactly Three bars. Or-Twenty nine pound per square inch.

Repeat the procedure for all four wheels.

Roll the tube up, hang it on

the pillar at pump no. seven.

Leave the station for the motorway.

There has been an accident, and there is half an hour delay.

Be late for work.

Too bad.
