Park the black car in the corner of the gravel
parking lot. This is the space nearest to the
building, just a short walk away from the sensor which reads the employees cards.
The entrance to the small university department is made of glass bricks, a sparkling bright
storey building's stairwell, a pendulum sways back and forth over a magnet. It has been swinging too and fro for a long
time There are devices measuring the vector of
each swing. It is a repeat of an experiment done by a man called Foucault, a French
physicist. A picturesque display, the black pendulum swaying back and forth, each swing
much longer than a second,
Rush past this pendulum to the lavatory around the corner, the mens room.
+ A relief after the car journey.
After the hands washed,
go bac to the stairwell. Look at the pendulum again.
The sight is a reminder of the passing of time, and thus also a reminder that the employees card was not passed under the
sensor. There is irritation that the employer's time was not spent pissing.
Check in, now things are good, paid time has started.
