The coffee in the cafeteria is hotter today than on other days. The cup is hot, and of course the coffee is too. Maybe it is because of the new man working in the I.A.S café. He is Italian, perhaps he has a better way of pressing buttons. After filling all the tracking details into the COVID form, take the cup to the single table in the corner.
Take off the mask, take a sip of the coffee. That is pleasantly hot.
Put out the notebook, and the pen.
The Italian arrives with the heated panino.
Taking care not to allow the contents of the panino to fall on the shirt- take a bite.
It is good.
But the day at work is boring and uneventful.
And this ball point pen does not work any more.
