The stairs around the pendulum are

a

circular stairwell, half of which is encased

in carefully-laid glass bricks. It is very

bright, and in the centre of the stairwell

the pendulum s ways. It is swinging in

a roughly north-south direction now.

It would be an idea to look and see in

which direction it will be swaying in

the evening.

At the top of the stairway there is

a small hallway with three tunnels

heading in roughly southern, eastern and

western directions. Cross the hall and

take the corridor in the southern directer

This corridor is on a bridge between the

two buildings, it has portholes to the left

and to the right n

A glass door at the end, and now

this is the physics budding. All made

of brick and concrete, a style from The

nineteen scscties.
