Imagon lens

Today is the day to check an old camera, with an even older lens.

Ask the son if he wants to play model.

Ok, so he agrees.

Go out into the sunlight, the Imagon lens needs a lot of light

Take a few portrait type pictures with that old portrait lens attached to a modern camera, It works, and then again it is so difficult to operate. Things have changed so much since the middle of the last century.

Well, what do you expect? Accelerating progress wherever you look.

But the son is patient, even if he suffers in the sunlight. But his patience is tried by the failure of the camera to work.

A visit to the café and the chance to relax. He drinks a bottle of lemonade, and that picture is better than all the attempts earlier on.

The cafe in the main street is suffering from a lack of customers, a lack caused by the fear of the virus. That is all easily understood, but the whole business has a positive side. There is no jostling on the sidewalk as there used to be, there is no fighting for position in the line at the counter.

Coffee and a pretzel, he has a bit of cake.

It is good to be out and about.

Trying out the ancient Rodenstock lens, the one that has a deliberately soft focus.
