so late

 Sleeplessness mutates to laziness, there is the sound of a distant telephone and voices outside. The neighbours builders have arrived. Now that sleep is possible, give in and continue sleeping. Any reasons to get up have been forgotten, that is opportunism for you.

Later, dare a look at the watch. It is nine in the morning. Go downstairs and make the usual high speed breakfast, note that the cat is not anywhere to be seen. The wife is still asleep, and the son is away on his seminar. All is nicely quiet. 

Upstairs, settle down to read the news. There is not much, there is the daily briefing from the Handelsblatt which is just light reading for German businessmen, sneering at anybody who is not a self made man, and the daily briefing from the New York Times, really quite worth reading. Google for any further information on the state of the war, but there is nothing really worth reading . There are all the usual informations where one look at the source adress will tell you that it is probably propaganda and of little value.

And the cold of the day is seeping through the dressing gown.

There is post to be brought to the post office, it is time to get dressed and to start the day. 

It is so late.
