days flickering by

Yesteday, the body nearly collapsed, simply whilst working. It is nice to work, but it is trying when the conditions become more difficult. It is not easy to explain this afterwards to others, the sudden lapse of ability, the the visible horizon reducing down to a small area in front of the face, the panic that there is about to be a fall. Sit down for a few seconds, then gather together the equipment and lie down on a nearby couch conveniently placed in an outbuilding in the garden.
Stay lying for an hour, then pack up the gear and return it to the car.
Sit down and wait until the artists return. Then go home, and collapsed into an early night.

This morning, things are all right, it is just that it gets hot too quickly. It is now over twenty degress centigrade in the room, the air is still, and some idiot building worker is doing woodwork with an electrical demolition hammer in one of the neighbouring buildings.
But it has been possible to recover.

It is summer, an easy time of the year.
All time is easy, now, during retirement. Still, there is rage at the rapid motion of the days, they seem to be just flickering by.
