Ashes

 Up early, dressed and showered, and then get ready to drive to Regensburg. Get ready to be driven to Regensburg to attend an Ash Wednesday service. 

On the way to regensburg there was a ceramic angel to be collected at a university chapel. It had been on loan, and the period of the loan was now over. The one sculptor had an injured back, so that this photographer was the one who helped to move it. Then there was a meal in a restaurant, the service was sharp, unfriendly, and effective.

The music at the service was provided by the university for sacred music.

It was fantastic.

Afterwards, a film was attended, they were films made by a theologian turned film producer. They were well made.

A group picture was taken of a crowd of artists on a sofa. A very large and important bishop stood around in the way. Later people said that he wanted his picture taken too.

A really lovely artist was photographed standing in her studio with one of her etchings. What a lovely woman.

Afterwards, there was fish soup, because it is Ash Wednesday

And now, returned home, go to the pub.
