Yesterday night was a pleasant evening with the teacher and his wife, both pensioners and both happy. They seem happy with each other, and are distressed by a succession of deaths in their circle of friends.
It was a pleasant Italian restaurant with a silly name.
Afterwards visit the artist. He is working on a new statue. It is a picture of the long dead mother, she died in 1975. Not his mother, the writers.
The morning and the afternoon were spent rendering the walls in the back room of the shop. The work is not finished, hopefully it will be by tomorrow. The work today was exhausting. Recovery is only taking place now. Both arms ache, and the back is sore.
Tomorrow evening the artist will be celebrating his birthday.
Something to look forward too.
