Confused
it is early
but how
early is it?
Look at the glowing display of the mobile telephone.
It is half past four.

Go to the bathroom, and then reutrn to bed.
That is it, untill the same telphone starts with it's early  morning call.
Turn that off.

And get up, gather the items needed for the day. The cat is quiet today, it is probably sleeping somewhere.
Put on the black shoes today.

Take out the laptop computer, take it out of the bureau desk. Look at the new mail, there is news of Presidents and chancellors, and of president elects slowly moving into insignificance, even before they have come into power.

NOW

It is half past five, time to leave the house and walk down the alley, around the big church, avoiding the roadside bicycle stands, cross the main street. There is the perfume shop on the left, and there is Dolores just passing through the illuminated window of the C&A  store.

It is dry and cold, there is an uncomfortable wind at the bus stop. Wish Dolores a good morning. She is sitting in the bus shelter, she appears to be out of breath.

After the bus ride is done, go to the railway cafe and order a coffee. The little discout card is stamped for the last time, it has ten stamps now. It will be exchanged for a cup of coffee on tuesday.
Ten per cent. A good discount, more than may be got from any bank.

Hedgehog is in the cafe. There is a younger man standing at his table, talking without end, making jokes, talking about the daily grind of having to go to work.

Stand at the table placed opposite to the one these two men are standing at, the older and the younger. The younger man is noisy, the older silent, patient. Maybe he wants his peace and quiet.

The train comes into the platform.
It is Friday, and the working week will have run it's course by this evening.

And by that time these notes will have been written into this book, this book with an orange cover.

The train journey is over again, time to change for the local train.
