Dress the nose with a small bit of sticking plaster, then but the clothes on, same procedure as yesterday. Pick up the mobile phone, and put a few extra plasters into the top pocket.
The air in the alley is warm today, really warm. That is strange. But pleasant. The new bakery is setting up it's wares for the day, the shelves are mostly bare yet.
Pass through the gate, there is Dolores sitting in the shelter at the bus stop, there is the bog cotton man approaching. Two 'guten Morgen" greetings
A start for other day. The river has calmed down, it is not rushing past any more. There is a line of ducks on the wall beside the river. Wall sitting birds. The bus arrives, pay the driver.
The two policemen are in the bus, still in those impeccable uniforms. The one is bald, a shaven head, and the other has blond hair.
The bus arrives at the railway station, get out at the rear door, walk over to the station building. climb stairs to the entrance. There are a few drunks there, a few smokers Err. And a smashed bottle on the pavement. Be careful not to step into that.
The thriving woman in Hecate,
The strident woman in the café-
order the coffee, she puts it on the counter after a few seconds. Watch the other
young women carefully spreading
some soft cheese on bread rolls
using a spatula, a rubber tipped
device also used for icing cakes.
Sit at the window of the café, sip the black bitter brew, look out over the tracks. There is a train in the distance,
a green and white train. Some private company, renting track space.
Leave the cafe at six, walk down the fluorescent tube lit corridor, climb the grubby granite stairs to platform six. Reach the top of the stairs just as the train comes in.
. find a free space at a table and continue to write these notes. A brown-coloured brown table, seats on tuther side covered in blue velvet the cloth with black squares worked on them.
