dublin
in the field outside the window eleven cows in the left hand side of the field. Brown and white, eating the grass. The field is divided down the middle by a fence, on the right hand side eight horses are grazing. The cows side of the field is rough, tufts of grass sticking up uneaten. The horses are neater eaters, their side of the field is manicured in comparison.S
Look out over the fields, over the nearby golf course, over Rathfarnham, Terenure, Portobello, the town centre. There are the chimneys in the middle of the bay, the river run into the centre, Howth in the background.
This is a nice awakening, a dream, the view over the portal of an eighteenth century mansion on the foothills of Mount Pelletier in Dublin.
The one with the ruin of the Hell Fire Club on top.
A Dublin awakening on a Saturday, outside the city.
A flat reserved for nobility, once, and now the brother lives there.
And his guests.
Ulysses country, and farther down the hills, that is where Finnegan fell.
The weather is grey, a grey low heavy sky, out of the back of the house see the outhouses with there slate roofs, and the fine treess of the pleaasure gardens at the back of the house.
And the exhibition has started, the gardeners view of a garden.
