A small police car hurtles past

Always after a bad night, fall asleep again in the early morning, to be woken by the alarm clock at five. stagger to the bathroom, not yet really awake
In the bedroom, fresh underwear and socks. Attend to the cat, then go into the kitchen and feect the madly purring animal.
Check the pockets, the wallet, unplug the mobile phone, and put the bag around the shoulder, or over the shoulder. Shorten the strap on the bag a bit, this should make it easier to carry.
Walk through the town again, the space beside the church has many parked vans and trailers belonging to a film crew parked there today. They will be making a new sequel to the television series about the nuns and the mayor, A popular comedy.

At the bus stop, wait behind the shelter as usual. The sudden sound of a roaring revving engine nearby is followed by the deafening sound of a police siren. A small police car hurtles past, fast. and bends into the main road. it drives away quickly, to deal with whatever emergency duties 'it may have.

Dolores raises her eyebrows and laughs at the sudden disturbance.

After the short bus ride to the station, and after buying the coffee in the cafe, sit in the waiting room. The only other person there is the man with the staring eyes, the open mouth and the straw hatted head. Take a seat facing away from him, take out the notebook.
Watch the italian woman in the glass-surrounded  kitchen area of the cafe, using the plastic spatula to coat condiments onto both sides of short that rolls, making a stock of sandwiches for the day. These are sandwiches with fish in them, pickled herring sandwiches so. There is a musty, fushy smell in the room.
At shortly before six, get up and leave the waiting room, pass platform one just as the  small train arrives, and go on to platform Six. The Munich train arrives early today, everything is easy, there are seats free.
