anaesthetic later

Sit at the table in the big room, reading the news on the computer, The cat is in the window, purring loudly, letting her tail switch back  and forth because of something happening outside that is exciting her. Then she jumps onto the small table, from there to the larger table, and then to the floor.

The clock is ticking more loudly than usual, the casing must be on skewed, thereby acting as a sounding board. It is not an unpleasant sound.
The sons alarm clock sounds.
That is an unpleasant sound.

Today is the day to go into the hospital to have the finger seen to, the little finger that was cut with a broken sheet of glass two years ago.

It is just past six in the morning, and it is nearly time to go.
There is no breakfast, because of the aneasthetic.
And the blood tests, and what have you.
