stroke

Twe, 10th March 2020
The worktop is a mess again today, the
son has been making coffee and toast for
his breakfast. He is moving around, quite
oblivious to the disapproving glares and
stares of his father.
Tell him to remove his things, if he
makes such a revolting mess he should
clean it up too. He moves the things.
away, over to the other worktop, and builds
a small heap of greasy cutlery.. Then he
says that he is in a hurry. He is on his way to school.
So put the things into the dishwasher, yesterday's plates and pots. Put a tab into the
machine, start that dishwasher.
Seconds later, the door to the bedroom is slammed
shut. The noise produced by the dishwasher has
disturbed the wife's sleep.
The son leaves the house on his way to school.
Leave the house, there is an appointment at
half past eight at the credit people.
Walk there, walk down the street. Look into the
building's window, all is dark in the office.
Wait. Ten minutes later, the man arrives
in a big show off car. He is visibly tired. He
tells the story that his mother had a stroke in
the night.
Commiserate.
And then to business.
