The bells of Saint Martins Church sound five times, there is light in the window, and there is no reason to get up, not yet.
Perhaps never would be attractive. No, rubbish, there is no such thing as never, that would mean for ever.
But those bells will ring twice at the half hour, so go back to black.
It is brighter, and there are two bells. Hook the feet under the edge of the bed, and lever to a sitting position. Get up, go to the tablet, turn off the alarm, go to the bathroom, shave, shower go back to the bedroom.
Go Go Go.
Find clothing in the wardrobe, put it on
The cat seeks attention, and takes the opportunity to jump onto the knees as the shoes are being fitted.
It is nice, she curls up and purrs. Perhaps she likes the attention, perhaps she has just understood that this will lead to her being fed.
Look at the news, wonder why so many Germans are complaining. A temporary loss of freedom seems a fair trade and no robbery.
Make coffee, a slice of bread for early breakfast, feed the cat from the tin waiting in the fridge.
And pack everything that is needed for work.
Do not forget to take the pills. One for the heart and one for the piss.
Sordid, but true.
Go.
