six men in orange today

 Monday 24th August.
Beyond the entrance to the physics building
A row of workers in orange overalls
stand at the end of the short piece of
road that has been prepared last week.
This must be the tarmacadam crew
They stand their, surveying the area
that they are to pave, they are discussing
methods.
.
Later on, watch them from the office
window. There are many photos to scan,
This leaves plenty of time to observe the
things happening outside the window.
The men in orange work well as a team
each has his job. They have a small fleet
of machines, and each machine has it's operator. When no machine is required, each and every man takes a rake, or a shover to coax the hot steaming asphalt into the required place and shape. A stream of insulated trucks delivers the hot mixture and it is distributed with, or by hand with rakes and shovels.
At midday, the whole area is finished.
