23, yesterday

on the morning of the 24th write the post for the twenty third.

The long walk yesterday and the long lenses that proved so much more difficult to control than had been expected took their toll yesterday evening and there was no other possibility but to enjoy the gentle oblivion of the clean sheets and the fresh duvet.

Yesterday's pictures that turned out to be disappointing yesterday, it was the difficulties with the modern cameras and the old lenses, lenses that must be thirty years old now.

It was a long walk down to the atomic reactor at Niederaichbach, on a bright, clear, and even warm day, and it was a long walk back. There was a cup of coffee and three pretzels to be had at the bakery in Niederaichbach, and the joy of seeing all the too-distant cormorants on the isolated islet near the reactor.

The unpleasant thing was the damaged cable release on the lens which stopped a reasonable use of the camera. But there it was.

A solitary day, and that was not bad at all.
