Betterment, improvement as opposed to yesterdays misery, this is the first thought today. Things are in a mess in the kitchen again, the son was active last night cooking for himself. Putting all the dirty dishes and cutlery in a heap on the dishwasher and then brushing the crumbs off the worktop only takes a few minutes.
There is no white bread for breakfast today, it was not possible to go to the shops yesterday. See that the coffee is almost all used up, and now resolve to go to the shops later on.
At ten to eight go to wake the son, he has school today. He grins from his bed and says that the first period is religion, his attention is not required. Some things never change, religion is never high on the priorities of the youth of today.
