what can be done about it?

Today is a day of quiet, apart from the recurring thunderstorms outside. These are loud and short, and are always accompanied by rain. This rain has filled the river, it has turned from its usual sluggish milky tea colour to a rushing mass of green bearing a freight of trees from the woods farther upstream. There is no serious flooding yet, but there may well be in the near future.

There is not much done today, but for the tidying of the drawer. Recovery from the operation seems to be proceeding well, with a small setback yesterday. The journey to Bayreuth proved a little more strenous than would have been expected. 

Use some contact glue to stick the zip into the small pouch. The zip had been ruined, and this is a new zipper. It is a tiny bit short, but this does not matter. The next thing will be to stitch the seam, and then the whole item will be ready for use.

Otherwise, there is not much to do. Endure the angry scowls of the wife, she is not happy with her husband at all. She is preparing for work, and that does not correspond to her wishes and expectations.

The thunderstorm has ended, the evening will be peaceful. The tensions and difficulties are hard, but what can be done about it?
