 The sound of rain in the dark is relaxing, especially when under bedclothes indoors. The door to the balcony is wide open, there is the sound of the steady downpouring on the tiles and the gurgling in the gutters. Allow the self to be relaxed and go back to sleep.

The sound of the rain outside in the early morning dawnt is relaxing still, go downstairs to the toilet. The cat is excited by the presence of a human so early, she is probably a little bit hungry. She follows back upstairs, and makes dissapointed noises as the source of cat food goes back to bed.

The sound of the rain is pleasant, it is pouring down. Decide to make breakfast, go downstairs to the kitchen and make the usual meal.Realise that a can of cat food has been opened and left upon the counter, despite there already being two opened cans in the refrigerator. These things happen as a result of a lack of communication and because of carelessnes. Feed the cat some more of the smelly chunks, she eats with a great demonstation of relish.

Upstairs, eat, and listen to the aftermath of the heavy rain which has now died down to a drizzle. There is the sound of the drips in the gutters as the residual water finds its way down off the roofs. There is still a gentle mist of rain visible in the sky against the dark green of the trees.
