inheritance is the last word

The son came upstairs to say his goodbyes in the morning. Wished him well until Thursday, then he will be back again, perhaps this will be the end of lectures until Christmas and the New Year. It is hard to predict what the university people will arrange, it is hard to know what the man has planned.

Today the whole day was spent in illness, it was some kind of cold. Perhaps living in an unheated room does not help at all.  Breakfast was somehow insipid, even though it was the same as every day. In the afternoon paid a short visit to the café, but the things there did not taste good either. The Argentine turned up, it took a while for him to notice his friend huddled in one of the chairs drinking the rapidly cooling coffee. We had a conversation about things, and then, in the face of increasingly feeling unwell, walked back home. At home had a hot shower and went to lie down on the bed, wrapped up, and then slept. Awoke again at six in the evening and feel a lot better.

That is good.

Listen to the sounds of the wife walking around in the house.

Wonder how long this situation will continue for, it is becoming hard to bear.

It will be strange to have to leave the house that was paid for out of a personal inheritance.
