mishap

Save away the last picture of the set, pictures taken three years ago. The colours need to be edited again, and they need to be presented again now that the new building is being completed. It took long enough to build, and now it is nearly finished.

Look at the available results of the American election, and see what happens to a nation that lives from soap operas and television drama. The lies and the fiction cannot be separated from reality any more. It will do, get the coat and the mask and lock up the office after leaving it.

Time for lunch.

The paths are being paved anew, there is a fence around the building in which the café is. Take the long way round and realise that the café is closed. The new restrictions must have made business so poor that the owner closed his business. It is not worth opening, he says. Walk around the building, realise that they have now put up fences everywhere, the old food hall has been fenced in in preparation for demolition.

It is like being a sheep, kept in by fences. Find a gap, step through the pile of dirt there, and enjoy the new-found shortcut to the building with the office. There will be no food today. One mishap after the next.
