wounded bird

A pigeon is on the sidewalk, it just sits there.
Approach, it does not fly away.
It turns around and attempts to run.

See that it's back has been mauled, the unfortunate bird probably had trouble with a falcon. Those birds of prey have returned to the church spire, they keep the pigeon's down. Leave the unfortunate pigeon be, it will probably not live for very much longer. Further on, by the church, there are the remains of another pigeon, it is half eaten. It will not go anywhere.

Up the stairs in the old cinema building, up to the dentist's practice in the top floor. The woman there is waiting, she just points to the waiting room. Wait, until called.

The dentist takes a look, and then she makes a picture, and then she injects aneasthetic. Five minutes later, she and her assistant are both fighting to get the old crown off and to clean out the root canal. She pushes her needle in to the point where it starts to hurt again. Shake and shiver whilst lying in the dentist's chair, never dare to close the mouth or to shout. There are so many needles and drills and mirrors in the mouth, that would go down badly.
