purr

First thing today is to go to the barber's and to have the hair cut. The hair is getting thinner as the years go on, but it still looks awful when it is too long and straggles over the head like bog cotton or old man's beard. There will be that meeting end of next week with the directors, and then to have a picture in some paper.
And on the fourteenth the pictures are to be stuck to the wall. It will do to have the hair cut first, and hope that one of the suits still fits.

Todays walk starts later and is in the other direction. Go into the hilly land before landshut to the right of the Isar. The paths on the bluffs here are in very poor condition, it is hard to say whether there are really paths at all, or whether they are just tracks left by the hunters and their prey. There is a light coating of snow over everything, and as the way leads out of the valley the paths get icy and slippery. It is all very pretty with all the ultra-tidy german farmhouses everywhere.

The path ends in two disappointments. The one is the long road through a  quite depressing suburb, and the other is that the bridge over the river marked on the map is closed for public use. See that there is a smaller bridge upstream, that is something to note for the future.

Return to Landshut, stopping in a shop to buy some bread and cheese.
Return home to find the house empty but for the cat. She jumps onto the tired knees of her seated human and commences to purr.
