listening damp

Ine the distance the trees on the side of the Isar's valley's slope the trees are in Autumn colours and still today is Friday the 18th of November. Years ago there would have been snow about bare trees and not the steady fall of rain that is now being experienced.

There is the whirr of a small electrical heater in the background, a small white device with a thermostat which makes a clicking noise to turn the device on and off. Now during the energy shortages of these times of war this may appear wasteful behaviour, but the alternative is simply to be unbearably cold. A room temperature of sixteen degrees on the celsius scale is bearable and comfortable.

There are things to be done today, consider these whilst sitting at the glazed verandah door looking out at the nearby roofs and the distant trees in the glistening damp of the continuous rain.

There is no knowing if any reverberations of this life's efforts are being heard.
