Sleep was bad last night, lying awake in the dark seemed to take up hours and hours. Perhaps the cup of coffee in the late evening was a very bad idea.
Awoke all drowsy und unwell, went downstairs and made breakfast. That was all right, but the drowsiness only left slowly. Did the world puzzle and read about the closure of the Government in the united states and the earthquake in the Philippines.
Read about the speeches which the military had to listen to from a draft dodger, and wonder how they felt about it.
Read and wondered about it all,
Took walks through town and collected the car from its distant car park. It is now parked closer to home, in one of those residential parking spots opposite to the police station.
It is a quiet and entirely uneventful day apart from these things.
At eight in the evening clean up the shop's bathroom floor with acetic acid. It smells nasty, but the dirt in the grouting of the tiles dissolves. Another wipe over tomorrow with plain water should deal with that and make the floor presentable.
And now listen to the news, and then make a meal of some boiled potatoes.
