large print

This morning the collapse came after eating a bit of breakfast and having a shower. It came exactly half an hour after taking the pills. It was horribly noticeable. Set the timer for half an hour, and it was woefully insufficient. Slept on until eleven and still did not feel well.

Walked to the gallery at a quarter to one and had a short conversation with the lady, and her husband helped take the picture out of the frame. The picture may well have already been sold, but the buyer has not turned up yet. The argument is normally that there will be no collection without payment, so perhaps there is just no sale.

It does not really matter at all.

Return to the shop, and wait for the artists friend. She wants to choose a picture of the church to our lady on the mount, taken in France some weeks ago. Chat with her for a while, and show her pictures. She has a lot going on about her, and her telephone is constantly active. She talks about many different things. She is a pleasant person. Make a print for her, a large one, sixty times eighty centimetres.

Go to a café afterwards and enjoy a good cup of coffee and a cake with caramel. That is all very nice.

And when that is done, return to the house where she has left her bicycle.

Wave goodbye as she rides the bicycle down the soaking wet street in the dark.
