yesterdays post never happened, it will be augmented. completed on the 27th of April

So much happened yesterday, that the entries were forgotten. This will be completed later today..... Much too tired now to do anything about it.

It is now nine in the morning, yesterday started at seven. The bus from the stop in front of the theater drove to the railway station, where two people in mauve uniforms informed that the train had been cancelled but that a bus was available. Following their directions got noto a very long mauve bus. The bus drove all the way to Plattling with stops at all the other stations on the way. The bus had one passenger and one driver. The following bus had only its driver.

In the railway station at Plattling noticed that the train that had left Landshut one hour after the bus would be there in five minutes. It is not surprising that nobody had any interest in the mauve busses.

Arrived in Vilshofen and met the collector. He was working in the library, doing a form of voluntary service. Exchanged a few words, then walked up the small street between the main street and the river Danube to a small café. The café is pleasant, enjoyed a piece of cake and a cup of coffee.

Afterwards, went to the collectors house and met him there. We took a walk to a local flea market. A woman sold a small glass-fronted box for two Euros, and bought three old chisels for three Euros apiece. The chisels were of a good brand but woefully blunt.

Spent the afternoon chatting with the collector over coffee and cake.

Then took the train back to Landshut, avoiding the mauve busses.

In Landshut, greet the son who has several things to do in the town.

Attended a concert in the local pub, taking a few pictures whilst there.  Experienced a singer from Scotland who sang well and clearly. Hers was the best vocal performance ever heard in the pub.

After chatting in the pub took a walk to the artists studio. Left the chisels with him, and showed him how to sharpen the scrapers, so that he would be able to use them during the coming week.
