it is dark, it is five thirty or thereabouts. Go up to the attic barefoot, still in night clothes. The small door to the room with the central heating device is jammed, the light inside is glaring.
The heating system is working a it should, it is just that the bedroom was cold. Close the jamming door, turn off the light and go back down the stairs.
Return to bed.
Then the sons alarm clock sounds.
Get up, and reach for the dressing gown on the back of the door. Take down the plastic clothes hanger that has been hooked over it, then unhook the gown and replace the plastic hanger. Put on the gown, and then the son comes into the bedroom.
Give him a morning hug,
Take the little grey laptop to the sitting room table.
Read the e-mail news, the united states of America is changing its government away from a democratic system.
Then start writing these notes.
Meanwhile, the teenage son has started to listen to dial tones on his 'phone.
Things may go wrong today, it is Friday.
Make a cup of coffee, use the little Pavoni
