The day before the first of may is doctors day again, a sore back, sore for the past weeks.
wake, the alarm starts automatically, turn it off, rest.
Then the son's alarm, it will send him to school, ok.
Get up, make a cup of coffee, the sun is not yet up.
Then the son comes around the corner, red hair flowing, a tangled mess from sleeping.
The son is up, he fills an early morning glass of coca cola,
and a slice of buttered toast.
Write an email missive to the people at work, sorry guys.
Today, on the Monday before the first of may
there will be hardly anybody there anyway.
Goodbye to the son on his way to school
read the news, find out the telephone number of the doctor,
and make yet another cup of coffee.

being older has it's advantages
those are definitely disadvantages
