practice

Midday, a feline face looks around the corner of the door from the kitchen. The cat just looks, blinks, keeps on looking.
Look  back, no difference, the cat looks.
She is watching, perhaps understanding that something has changed, there is somebody in the bed at a time when this person is never there.
She keeps on looking, motionless.
Then, having assessed the situation sufficiently, she turns away.
And goes.

The son comes in with a cup of coffee, he is concerned that his father is ill.
The hiss in the head is stronger, and breathing is sore, the throat is rough.
Stay in bed
Enjoy the warmth and the comfort,
be thankful that the wife and the son are there to care for things.
It is hard to tell what is wrong, maybe it would be right to go to the doctor next year. That is not far away.

There are other things that would be nicer to do than lying in bed listening to the son practice his piano.
