Would that have been worth it?

Wendnesday 18th December
Take the turn onto the Autobahn, the long curved ramp down to the string  of lights, each attached to a vehicle speeding towards Munich. The tiny car has lousy acceleeation, use the complete acceleration strip veside the carriageway. The car reaches a speed of one hundred kilometres an hour, veer to the left and proceed. Turn on the cruise control, far ahead there is  a large truck. Watch as the distance slowly decreases, the intervening cars overtaking the truck one by one.
And then, the truck is only a short way away. It is a truck with Italian plates and the back of the container has cursive Italian lettering on it, something in Italian.
Slow the car, just a bit. This Italian truck driver is driving fast. Drive closely, use the wind shodow. The driver is driving at a steady ninety five, fifteen kilometres an hour more than is allowed.
Stay behind this truck, all the way to the turnoff mrked "Freising Sud". That is fifteen minutes later. Had the car and the traffic allowed, and the travel were twice as fast, then seven and a half minutes would have been saved.

Would that have been worth it?
