bells

Quarantine is a sorry business after the first week, and the final test positive, that will mean that yet another week will be spent in boredom. Perhaps there will be fewer headaches, that would be nice. Listen to the elderly couple outside the window discuss watering their plants. They do not have very many of them, their garden is mainly flagstones.
Their activity is a reminder to water the plants on the balcony.

This chore has now been dealt with, the plants are green and healthy.

Now there are bells ringing everywhere, yet again. It is nine forty-eight. It is entirely unclear as to why this noise is necessary, and what purpose it serves. But the silence afterwards is pleasant, listen to the sound of the neighbours and the birds.
And the sun is shining, all very pleasant.
But now that perverse little bell at the end of the church starts to clang again. If a child did that with a dinner bell it would be punished.
